The classic song “Some my Prince Will Come” is in 3/4 time, that is, 3 beats to every bar. You will find an explanation of time signatures and how they have been applied to popular music in our guitar lesson course.

Arranged here in the key of C, I think one of the nicest chordal movements in this song is from the Cmaj7 in the 1st bar to the E7+5 in the 2nd bar. “E7+5” may seem a mouthful to say “E seven plus five” to be precise, but actually all you are doing is adding an extra note to an E7 chord. The colour this gives to the E7 is great in the context of Cmaj7 to E7. Other movements I like are the F6 to the F#dim in bars 27 & 28 and also the pedal G in bars 29 & 30.
