Moon River Combined Arrangement Guitar Measures 23 & 24

This lesson will teach you how to play measures 23 & 24 of the combined arrangement solo guitar version of Moon River. To listen to the Guitar Tab for the whole song, go to the GUITAR Tab video. An essential part of any performance of a tune is that the melodic line should be heard clearly above the accompanying notes. Go to the MELODY Measures 23 & 24 page to revise the melody for these measures. If you want to impress, let that melody fly! in this combined arrangement guitar solo for measures 23 & 24, in between the two melody notes;

2nd string open

1 st finger, on 2nd string, 2nd fret

we’ve placed a fill

the first note of the fill is played by the

2nd finger, on the 6th string, 4th fret

followed by the

3rd finger, on the 4th string, 4th fret

then the

4th finger, on the 3rd string, 4th fret

and finally the

1st finger, on the 4th string, 3rd fret

The Guitar Tabs on the bottom of the video screen will help you find where to place your left hand fingers

for the rhythm of the melody in these two measures

count 1, 2 an, 3 an, 1, 2, 3

This arrangement could as easily sit with the title of  “Jazz Guitar Arrangement” or “Classical Guitar Lesson” and be interesting to players from both genres.
